The Truffle Pig is located in the heart of Germantown and is 3,600 square feet of hand-curated goodness. Co-owners Tara Gorman and Tricia Atkins pride themselves on finding unique, one of a kind merchandise. All art and jewelry are crafted by local artists as are many of the other items in the store.
Gorman and Atkins wanted to open a shop with treasures that were hard to find anywhere else. Hence the name. Truffles grow underground, hidden from the naked eye. It takes work and determination to unearth them, but believe it or not there are some pigs that are specially trained to find them. And as anyone who has ever had dishes cooked with truffle butter or oil, they are well worth the time it takes to find these "treasures." At Truffle Pig all the hard work is done for you.
